What are More Reasons to play 4on4?
Here are some reason 4on4 is a great format for young kids:
- More Space! With fewer players on the court, there’s more room for each athlete to move, react, and explore the game—reducing crowding and confusion, especially for beginners.
- More Ball Touches! With only four players per side, everyone gets more chances to pass, set, and hit—helping build confidence and skill through repetition.
- More Skill Development! Smaller teams mean each player plays a bigger role in every rally, allowing them to improve all-around volleyball skills like serving, passing, setting, and spiking.
- More Decision Making! Fewer players on the court means more responsibility per player. Kids learn to read the game, communicate, and make quick decisions in real time.
- More Scoring Opportunities! With less defensive coverage, players find more open spaces to attack, encouraging aggressive, creative play and better court awareness.
- More Engagement! Everyone stays active and involved. No standing around—players are constantly in motion, leading to higher energy and better focus throughout the session.
